Flora (kukka latinaksi) oli roomalainen kukkien ja kevään jumala, mutta nykyisin floralla viitataan lähinnä kasvistoon. Fauna puolestaan oli roomalainen maan ja hedelmällisyyden jumala. Sana viittaa myös metsän henkiin fauneihin. Faunalla tarkoitetaan yleisesti eläimistöä.

Vox Polariksen Flora & Fauna -konsertti kertoo tarinoita kasveista ja eläimistä kuoromusiikin keinoin. Tervetuloa musiikilliselle matkalle luonnon helmaan!

Welcome to our concert!

Flora (flower in Latin) was a Roman goddess of flowering plants and spring but today flora refers to the plant life that is present in a given location at a certain point in time. Fauna was a Roman goddess of earth and fertility. Fauna is also related to forest spirits called Fauns. Fauna is all of the animal life present in a particular region or time.
